What this site is

Petculator offers free calculators and explanations about dogs and cats. Everything here is general, educational information based on published averages. It is not veterinary advice and does not replace an examination by a licensed veterinarian. Never delay or ignore professional advice because of something you read or calculated here.

Emergencies

If your pet may be ill, injured or poisoned, contact your veterinarian or an emergency animal hospital immediately. In the US, the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center answers at(888) 426-4435 (a consultation fee may apply).

Accuracy

We base every formula on the sources listed on each page and date when we last checked them, but averages can be wrong for an individual animal, and sources are revised. Costs are estimates that vary by region and over time. We are not responsible for decisions made on the basis of these estimates.

Third-party links and ads

We link to veterinary associations, manuals, studies and other sites we don't control. The site shows ads (see the advertising disclosure); an ad is not a recommendation.

Intellectual property

The text, tables and calculators on this site are ours. You may quote short parts with a link to the source. Cited works belong to their authors and publishers.

Changes and applicable law

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. These terms are governed by Spanish law, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections where you live.
